The NYC DEV Community is hosting our very first community-organized meetup, and you're invited! Join us for a night of food, discussion, and fun.
Â
This event is organized by members of DEV (dev.to), an online community for software enthusiasts. It's an opportunity for developers/analysts/ops peeps/etc of all stripes to get together, follow each other, and generally hang out and talk tech. If you don't have an account on the site yet, it's free to join. And if you're unsure of what it's all about, this meetup will be filled with folks who can help you understand!

Tonight's Theme is "Expectations vs Reality"
As tech professionals, we know that all too often, what we expect doesn't really line up with what we end up doing. We wanted to introduce our theme, Expectations vs. Reality, to reflect that and encourage discussion about how we could bridge the gap.
Â
We are currently accepting talk proposals centered around the theme! Our schedule will include 50 minutes of talks and plenty of time for mingling!
We'll also be providing space for attendees to show off any projects you're currently working on, science fair-style! If you'd like to participate, let us know in your RSVP!
